Michele Hernandez tragically lost her husband Phil when he was struck by a motorist while riding his bicycle in Simi Valley’s Long Canyon five years ago. Through this devastating loss Michele created the Widows Bond and Soaring Spirits Loss Foundation to help other widows deal with life after the loss of a spouse.
Michele’s instrumental work with widows has earned her national recognition in USA Today News and recently an appearance on the Fox News Huckabee Show. Michele is truly one of the outstanding people of Simi Valley and will be honored at the upcoming Simi Valley Mayor’s Dinner.
