Big Sky was developed through several residential tracts by builders including Shea Homes, D.R. Horton, and Standard Pacific. Together, these neighborhoods introduced a broad range of home designs and floorplans throughout the community.
The neighborhood is framed by the surrounding Simi Valley foothills and includes cul-de-sac streets, pedestrian paths, bike routes, and access to nearby recreational areas.
